Kobe continues to give us a peek into his anatomy by posting a picture of the PRP injection being conducted by the infamous German doctor.

Platelet Rich Plasma therapy, which involves his blood being placed in a centrifuge before being reinjected back into his knee. This isn’t the first time Kobe has chosen to undertake this procedure – Bryant underwent the same therapy on his right knee in Germany in 2011.

This doesn’t seem to be linked to the Achilles injury that ruled Kobe out for the 2013 postseason, with ESPN Ramano Shellbourne reporting,

‘The procedure on Bryant’s knee was unrelated to his recovery from the Achilles injury. It was described by sources close to the situation as more of a “tuneup” for his knee, rather than treatment for a new injury.’
