For the first time since 1988, when MJ, Drexler and Nique participated, the NBA Dunk Contest will feature 3 All Stars in the event.
According to Marc Stein, Paul George, John Wall, Damian Lillard, Terrance Ross, rookie Ben Mclemore and sophomore Harrison Barnes will all feature.
Hearing tonight that Paul George, John Wall and Terrence Ross could all wind up joining Damian Lillard in dunk contest at All-Star Weekend

This is a huge boost for fans as most of them have been crying out for ‘star power’ to be involved in the event. The last time the event featured two All Stars was back in 2000 when Stackhouse competed against Vince Carter.
George has been amazing fans with his in game dunks, so he will probably have the highest of expectations of all the participants. Great to see an All Star and an MVP candidate ‘man up’ and be part of the contest…..No pressure Lebron.
Reigning champion and a player who recently joined the 50 point club. His most recent dunk over Faried has fans excited of what he can deliver again this year.
Rumour has it that John Wall was motivated to enter the Dunk Contest by one of the greatest dunkers of all time–Kenny Dobbs. There are talks that the two of the could be collaborating during the competition as well.
Here are some Dobbs’ dunks for you.
Lillard is a surprise here as he’s not really known as a dunker, although he’s shown that he can throw a nasty one down from time to time. He’ll be a busy boy during the weekend as he’ll also be defending his crown in the Skill’s Challenge and will be in the 3 Point shoot at as well. Could be the first guy to win all three, however, he’s considered the ‘dark horse’ for this competition.
Barnes is a great game dunker and has been petitioning to be part of this competition for a while now…Be careful what you wish for!
